I always do this when we move and after reading about the 7 yr old in Fl, I realized I never did this when we moved.

My heart dropped when I realized that a neighbor that lives a few streets over that we have talked to a few times (the kids like to pet his dog) is on the list for lewd acts with a child under 14.  I never had any red flags as this guy is married and I even met his grandkids when they were visiting this past summer.  I am so glad I have this knowledge and will avoid this man at all costs.

Yes, I check my neighborhood. There are a few on my street. Looking at their faces online makes me want to puke.

Yes, there is one down about 3 blocks from us same street.

We just got a postcard in the mall.  One moved on the other side of our neighborhood, I guess just far enough away from the school....

I think I figured out he was 16 when he did something to a 10 yr old.  The postcard said "high risk."  Lovely....

I used the watchdog site and there is another one specifically for CA.  I just googled - sexual offenders- and both sites pulled up.  I checked both and they have the same info.

I actually do this at work.  I work for our local city government.  I alert the law director if there is someone living in a restricted area.
