How often do you clean your blinds?

I was looking at them when I was opening and I realized how gross they are. What is the best way to clean them?

I wonder if I can take them out and hose them off? Maybe not, that sounds awfully ambitious.

I take them and stick em in the tub with water and bleach.  I also have a little blind cleaneer brush that goes between the slats.

Of course, I hardly ever actually do this, but when I do they look great.

I about had an attack when I saw how disgusting the blades of our ceiling fans were this weekend. We have them on all the time, and you can't see when they're spinning.  I couldn't get on a ladder fast enough.

We don't have blinds but we have plantation shutters. I dust them with a swiffer cloth once a month - I would guess you could do the same with blinds.

Well shi!t....nobody told me you were supposed to clean those things!

I'm embarrassed to admit what the frequency is.  Lets just say we go a looooong time in between cleanings.  When I do clean them, I put them n the bathtub to soak.

I actually dust them at least once a month or so. We have those white 2" fake wood blinds, so dust shows up pretty clearly.

I use one of those Swiffer or Pledge dusters-on-a-stick when I dust the rest of the room.

If they REALLY need help, I do think you can take them down and hose them off in the shower or yard.
