Question for moms of 2 or more

Did you notice a difference in the amount of time your 2nd (3rd+) child spent on the floor?  With DS I put him on a blanket/playmate on the floor ALL THE TIME!  Now, with DD I can't because I'm afraid of DS hurting her.  I put her in the pack & play a lot, but we don't have a lot of space so I don't have it out all the time.  Just wondering about others' experience!

I do put my DS on the floor but I constantly have my eye on as DD has attempted to pick him up or move him which freaks me out.  I also worry about her small toys on the floor. I am constantly going through things to weed out the small stuff.  It's tough but my DS wouldn't sit in the pack and play. Have you considered one of those round gated things? My neighbor has one and her DD loves it.  If you don't have alot of space, it may not be a good thing for your room.

T definitely had less floor time as a newborn than my oldest did, but by about 4 months, I'd say it's probably the same.  My middle son was the same way.  By about 4 months, he seemed a little less fragile, so I worried less about my toddler hurting him.  He sat up, crawled, etc. at almost the same ages that my oldest did.  I expect T will be the same way.
