flu shot

in 2nd Trimester

I am not sure if you have talked about this before but is anyone getting the H1N1 shot?  They are providing it at my work in two weeks and I am debating whether or not to get it.  I got the regular flu shot and I am afraid I am gonig to hurt my baby somehow by getting this new shot.   Anyone else having this issue?

    I'm on a wait list for when the shot comes in locally. So I'm hoping to get it. It is a little nerve wracking, but I trust my doctors and their recommendations.

    Just an FYI, the season flu shot is a new shot every year too... So if you big fear is that it is "new" it is not...It isn't anymore dangerous than your regular seasonal flu shot...

     I have H1N1 currently, and if I could have gotten the shot and avoided this I would... It ROYALLY sucks!

    I got both.  H1N1 is really just the seasonal with a different virus.

    Just had a flash back to the first tri board. ;) 

    GL with your decision. Ultimately, you shouldn't base a decision like this on what a bunch of strangers on a community board are doing anyway.

    I did lots of research today!

    I'm not getting either, spoke with the CDC today and they couldn't tell me which brand of the seasonal flu vaccine to get, first they said AFLUVIA, well when I told the women I was looking at the package insert and it's not safe and effective in pregnant women, she was shocked and asked me what about FLUVARIN... I said, shouldn't you be telling me????? I was really taken aback and worried for all moms to be. All the influenze (which is H1N1) and the 2009 H1N1 inserts say that they aren't proven safe or effective in pregnant or nursing mothers, and all except one are category C for pregnancy (could cause fetal harm or reproductivity issues).
