Waited in line 2 hours for H1N1 mist

DS now has officially received the H1n1 mist. After waiting 2 hours in the rain he finally got it. I am so outraged with the limited supply, why promote it when you know you are going to give a county of 500,000 only 4,000 doses.

Re: Waited in line 2 hours for H1N1 mist

  • That's my worry for this coming Monday.  Is the wait.  How early did you go?  Where I am going they have both.
  • I got their 45 minutes early. They did have both but he would have to have a second shot since he is only 2. I thought we would chance it with the mist (since it is a live virus). I was afraid that they would not have any left when the booster came around.

  • They aren't even offering it where we live yet. On Saturday, one place is offering it to pregnant women and healthcare workers. I will be going to get mine.

On another note: we waited in line today for 45 minutes to receive the "regular" flu shot for P.

The media has hyped this up so much that people are going crazy.

  • It is so crazy. People are going to freak out because they ran out, they are stopping at 5. I think the only reason our county got it is because there is a major university which has been hit very hard by H1N1.

I was told that DD would need 2 whether it was the shot or mist, were you told different?  Our health dept only has mist and they said 2 doses.

  • I think the guidance regarding it is all over the place.
  • I heard on the radio that a woman waited over 2 hours for a regular flu shot.  Is this what National Health care would be like?  No thank you...if it is!
