My mom feels a little bad about seeing my kids on Halloween

This year, my mom will be coming with us to a trick or treating block party.  She has lived in her house for 43 years and this is the first time ever that she hasn't passed out candy at her own house.  She mentioned that she feels a little bad about that because when my sister and I were little, everyone passed out candy to us, so she wants to return the favor.  I'm 39 and my sister is 41.  She's been passing out candy to "pay our debt" for the last 28-29 years at least--I would imagine that was the last time I probably trick or treated.  I'm pretty sure her obligation to all the trick or treaters who came behind us is paid in full.  But God love neighbors like her!

  • Ahhh...that is nice of her to continue.  I love going to the older people's homes...they have the best stuff.  Could maybe someone else pass it out at her house?  I passed out for my neighbor one time...they were gone on vacation.
