Anyone done it? I'm going to work from 1-5 and then spin class from 5:30-6:30 and told DH we were having meatloaf tonight. He will be home around 7 and I usually like to have dinner ready so that we aren't eating after 8. I am cooking it on low in the crock pot, but it didn't call for any liquid in the crock pot and that worries me. Do you think I should add liquid?

Re: Meatloaf in the crockpot?
I've never done it, but ground meat has a lot of juice already in it. You should be fine without anything extra, but if you are anxious about it, put a little water in the bottom, it shouldnt hurt at all.
Good Luck with it!
i'm puzzled. Meatloaf in the crockpot?
Wouldn't just be meatloaf flavored beef because it wouldn't be as solid as normal meatloaf, right?

I add a 1/4 cup of water, but I also cook w. 96% lean beef.
Its moist, and does not fall apart, so it is a meatloaf.
BLOG: The Quinntessential Mommy
2 1/4 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 large onion (diced)
1/4 cup water
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
Form into a meatloaf shape that will fit into your crock pot.
Place meat loaf in crock pot and top with an additional 2 tablespoons ketchup.
Cover and cook on low for approximately 8 hours.
This is what I had laying around the house, so that's what I used.
