Stop the press! My IL's are getting the INTERNET today!

We are going to have to turn off the phones for the next three weeks in order to avoid hours on there trying to walk them through how to open up Internet Explorer!

My mil called me to talk about doing a big family trip for Christmas, and I told her I could do some research for her.  Her answer, "Oh, I can do it.  We are getting the internet tomorrow."  Oooookay...good luck!  LOL!

    Oh good lord. Lets hope this doesn't turn into a daily lesson.

    Oh, I love them to death, but they are living in the wrong century.

    About a year after they got the computer and digital camera, they called in a panic because they had lost all their pictures.  Actually, they didn't realize that you could pick where you wanted to save stuff.  Somehow the default folder had changed, so the pictures were going into a different folder than "my pictures."  Yeah, so for a year they were just saving stuff wherever the computer chose to save it.  It was a mess!

    Yeah, my ILs live 3 hours away and were calling DH multiple times a day asking him questions about their's.  Obnoxious!

    FIL calls us all the time b/c he can't figure his computer out.  He's had it 8 years.

    And my fil is going to freak if/when he finds out my sil and bil have picture of him on their facebook. Smile

    I am already anticipating the "pray for 10 people and pass this on or else you're going to hell" emails from my mil.

    Good luck! My parents just got high speed this year from dial up. My mom still calls it The Computer. "I need to go on The Computer to look up airfare." And even though they now have a *gasp* laptop, she still asks us to do research.
