Good gift for a 1 yr old?

My niece is turning 1 today, and her b-day party is this weekend. I have no idea what to get her.  What are 1 yr olds into?  Moms of older babies, what were your LOs favorite toys at 1?  If it helps, she's just starting to walk.

M love the bee bop band from parents.com. They sell it at target for $25 or so. She's also really into stacking things so she can knock them over. 

Also I don't know how much you want to spend, but she loves her laugh & learn house. That was about $80.
