Babies on the Brain

Just for fun, my two favorite names of the day...

Madelyn (Madaleine) & Marykate...

My mind will change 300 more times.  I love Madelyn, but DH likes the french spelling.  Also if my sister has a girl (anyday now) her name will be Madison.  I always thought that Marykate was cute.

DH got rid of Ella and Amelia.  BOO.

  • I love the name Ella but last year on Fourth of July Dh was super drunk and sang the Rhianna song umbrella-ella-ella-ella for ever so Ella is now out!

  • Can't see Marykate without seeing two unfortunately skinny teenagers. I don't think they are teenagers anymore, but they will forever be in my head.

Sorry. This is why you shouldn't mention names lol.

  • I had a dream the other night that I had a girl and named it Madeline. Then DH made fun of me because he said it reminded him of the little girl with the raincoat.

  • I like Madelyn.  I do have to say Ella & Amelia were our tops names.  Actually if DS was a girl her name would have been Amelia Big Smile

  • They're beautiful names, but I have this problem... when I hear a name I almost always relate it to something/one. Be it good or bad. Here's what I see with these two.

    Madeline     and    MK

I'm going to have a hard time naming my kids...

  • DH's paternal grandma was Amelia and his maternal grandmother is Madeline.  Weird that you like both of those names (just b/c of the coincidence). I love Amelia, but we didn't want to do any exact naming afters so we are using Molly as a middle name (that was Amelia's nickname).
