Doesnt Farmville realize people sleep?

Is there a way to pause it so that my crops dont go to sh!t while I sleep?

You just have to plan your crops better.  If you plan a crop that takes 2 hours to grow, you have 2 more hours to harvest or they die. 8 hours to grow, 8 more hours to harvest and so on and so forth.

My soybeans and eggplant are 99% there. Its driving me nuts!

Ditto what SP says, plan for when you know you'll be able to get online before they die.
