8 months and suddenly having sleep issues?

DS is a little over 8 months and for the past week has suddenly been waking several times at night screaming. He's fine once we pick him up - he even falls right back to sleep - but as soon as we try to put him back in the crib he's up crying again. It usually takes about an hour for him to go back down. He's not sick or teething at the moment, and has been STTN for 6 months so I'm at a loss for what to do. Is this just a phase?

DD has been going through that since about 7 months. I want to say it's a phase but it is still happening. It could be teething too. Sorry, I wish I was more help.

This exactly. I'm pretty sure it is because of teething though. The only way I can get my DD back to sleep is if I put her in bed with me. Eventually she falls back asleep and I can sometimes get her back in the crib.

Ung...this has been going on for us for about 2 weeks now.  DS has had a cold and I think he's is getting more teeth.

DD did the same at 8 months, it was best if I just kept things low key and let her sit with me and dh for awhile, otherwise she would get stuck in crying mode and it would go on forever.  She stopped once she cut her top two teeth but now she won't nap.
