Babies on the Brain

two s/o ?? of h1n1

1) Does h1n1 cause the electricity to go out? :laughs:  In my research for vaccine stats, I saw a "h1n1 prep checklist"  and they suggested bottled water and non-perishible, prep-free meals for 3 days.  w.t.f.  They also suggested batteries, flashlights and radios.  :laughs:  Is it the flu or a tornado?

2) and has anyone ever seen/read Stephen Kings "The Stand"?

He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

  • You are the second person today that has asked a question about The Stand. Guess I should read it. :)

  • I must know who else is thinking of the stand in the wake of the h1n1 paranoia

  • Thank you for bringing up The Stand.

And with that in mind, we really should make sure we have lots of non-perishable food. And tents.

  • That book really creeped me out.  I read it when I was like ten or something and was probably scarred for life.
  • In a slightly related note:  Zombies are the only *horror* figure that really freak me out.  Why?  Because they (in some form) are the most possible for me.  As a people, we are putting more and more and more crap in our bodies that we don't fully understand.  Who is to say something isn't going to cause us to go crazy and zombie like?

(I'm being serious, but I completely own up to my own stupid zombie-phobia..I know how crazy it sounds).

But in other news, this whole h1n1 business totally reminds me of the stand.  But much like the end of the world in 2012, I'll die when I die.  :shrugs:
