How long is the flu/H1N1 contagious?

Pretty sure ds had it Thursday thru Sunday with very high fever, running nose, achey, sleepy, etc.  Dr's office didn't even need to see him.  Fever is gone since last night and he seems like his usual self.

We have tickets for U2 tomorrow night and we'll have to leave him with a sitter if we go.  Is he still contagious if the fever is gone for a few days???

  • both our little ones had the flu.  Doctor said they couldnt go back to daycare until they were fever-free for 24 hours without using medicine.

  • FYI, i have read that H1N1 is contagious longer than the usual flu. It's a new study that has found this... the articles I read implied that as long as you're coughing you're still contagious, about a week for adults, sometimes longer for kids. I would think if the fever has been gone a few days it's probably not contagious?
