Can I be proud of DS and want to cry at the same time?

yesterday at church it was 'suggested' that we move DS up in a class from his normal church nursery room because he is fully walking now at 10 months and would have way more fun with much more motor skills appropriate toys...

YAY for DS, but I kind of liked having him in that nice, snuggly newborn room...now he's going to be all rough and tumble with the 1 year old boys before his time...

I have the exact same feelings at daycare.  I'm so excited that she's moving up and becoming a walker and playing w/ the bigger, more fun toys and clearly enjoying her practicing all her new skills, but simultaneously very sad to say goodbye to all the snuggly/coziness of being a little baby.
