She slept from 9:30-6:30 this morning. Usually, she goes back down for another couple of hours after her 2nd morning feeding (the first is usually around 4 or 5 AM), and is up for the day around 8:30. I should've known something was up when she didn't wake for her 1st morning feeding. But I got my hopes up that this was the start of sleeping longer through the night.
NOPE! She didn't go back down after the 6:30 feeding, and she's only napped twice for 20 minutes a piece. Usually I swaddle and nurse her to sleep, but that's not cutting it anymore apparently, because I think she's waking up when she realizes she's not nursing anymore.
She's not hungry, she's not wet/poopy. I've tried not swaddling her, drowsy but awake, Ferber method. (Which I know now she's still too young for--didn't work well at all.) She calms down as soon as she sees me. What the heck is going on?!?
Re: Should've known it was too good to be true. . .
Didn't try it at night--read the book at night, tried it for a nap the next day. DD screamed to the point of choking on her spit (she's teething, too). Stopped and calmed as soon as I went in. Didn't try it again, becauseposters on here said she was still too young to try it with.
