The fighters have been roaring over my house for the last hour.  I'm one of those weirdos who loves the sounds of planes though.

Lol, aah the joys of living near a military base.  By the time I was 8 I could recognize the type of plane my dad flew (KC-135) by the sound.  I can still pick it out when one flies overhead, which is pretty darn rare.

You would've loved our last duty station in NY then.  The planes flew right over base housing.  Even here in Ft Worth the do.  It's pretty awesome.

I too love the sounds of the planes and helicopters when they fly over. Our base is "closed" but still have planes coming in and out of it, and when they have the air show, it's great!

For the last 5 years I have either gone to a school where pilot degrees made up over 50% of the university, lived in the flight pattern for a major airport, or lived in the flight pattern for a military airport.  I love it!

The bombers were out last night at 3am while we were doing pumpkins. They've been out almost every day for the past 3 weeks at various times.

we only have heavy comm planes here. i do love the sounds of fighters though. unless i'm trying to sleep, and then they're in pairs, and you just start to fall back asleep as the second one goes overhead, lol
