what time do you have to get LO up to get out of the house in the morning? do they wake up at that same time on weekends/days home with you?
i work 3 days a week and usually have to wake DS up about 6:30. on the 4 days a week at home i'd much rather he sleep til 7am. but the last two mornings he's gotten himself up at 6:15!
i hate waking him but obviously we have to get to daycare...and i'm guessing at some point he'll just make it his own wakeup time.
you?
Re: ? for anyone who has to wake LO in morning to get to daycare/childcare
I get up DD at 7:00 and get her dressed and we are in the car by 7:10. I get her bag and everything ready at night. I take DD#1 to school and then DD#2 to day care. She usually eats her first bottle after she has been there awhile (around 8:00 or 8:30). On the weekend, she will usually sleep until when she wants her first bottle. Sometimes, she will sleep until 9:00.
ETA: Does your LO always want to eat right when he wakes up? I think because DD doesn't, that is why she will sleep later if we don't wake her up.
I usually have to get DD up for the sitter's around 7:00. She actually wakes up around 6:30 and talks to herself in her crib until I come to get her dressed. She has been STTN this past week, so she has been STARVING when she wakes up. I am currently having to get up about 30 minutes earlier to feed her in addition to getting her dressed. She most definitely wakes up at the same time every day regardless if she goes to the sitter or not.
Typically DS wakes up around 6 or 6:30am, I feed him, change diaper/dress for the day after I'm ready and we're out the door by 7:15am. Sometimes he wakes up earlier at 5:30, so I feed him first, then change diaper/dress him, put him in bouncy seat while I shower/get ready.
There have been a couple days that he was still sleeping at 7am...in which case I just got him up, change diaper/dress him and we left WITHOUT feeding him...that DID NOT go well! He screamed the entire drive until we got to FIL's house and he had a bottle in his mouth. I will NEVER do that again! I will wake him up at least by 6:30, so I have time to feed him first. I figure he can just nap more during the day if he's still tired.
It's weird, b/c he will usually sleep later on the weekends (till 7:30 or so)...it's almost like he knows we don't have to leave that day. Such a good baby!
