Her (good) sleeping stresses me out!

I know, I know, I shouldn't complain about a baby sleeping. Count your blessings, etc. etc.

BUT - It just freaks me out how much she sleeps. She stays awake about 60 - 90 mins MAX during the day (and REALLY falls apart when she gets tired) and then naps for at least an hour. One of her naps during the day is usually FOUR HOURS.  Then, she goes to sleep around 7:30 pm (it used to be 8:00, but she rarely makes it to 8:00) and wakes around 8:00 am - without waking AT ALL during the night to eat.

She is BF, and everything I read says that babies will get the calories they need, no matter how much they are sleeping, but it just seems so crazy to me.  Yesterday, I only BF her FOUR TIMES. The rest of the time, she was sleeping! 

Ok, I will go back to being thankful now. Just had to share my anxiety for a moment.

Relax. Mine is the exact same way. Sleeps all the time. Then again, if I didn't have a toddler to keep after I'd probably be worried too....

But, that isn't the case, so she can sleep as much as she likes! LOL.

not bad at all!

my boys nap at least for a little while between each feeding- sometimes they fall asleep right after they eat, sometimes they stay up an hour, sometimes 2... but they always nap in their 3 hour rotations... and they sleep 12 hours straight at night, too.  They are in the 50th and 95th percentile for weight - so i'm not concerned one bit- and love it! Soon, the napping won't be so often!

enjoy it....if doc says baby is healthy and growing i think that sounds amazing!!!!!!

I won't take the punches or hatred personally.

I think it just stresses me out because I feel like all the sleeping leaves very little time for her to interact socially or move around... she's sleeps swaddled, so the poor kid is in a straight jacket for about 18 hours a day! She hasn't rolled over yet, so of course, I worry...

if you don't like the swaddle issue- then have her nap unswaddled. My boys are swaddled at night- but not during the day. They have not rolled yet either - i'm not concerned. Griffin didn't roll until almost 6mos... they all do things when they are ready.
