I spent 3 hours at the urgent care clinic with our 3 1/2 year old DD yesterday morn & then 4 hours at Children's Hospital with her. They initially thought, at urgent care, she had rheumatic fever, but now are unsure what it is. They said it is most likely one of 3 things: rheumatic fever, junior rheumatoid arthritis or something called "erythema multiforme minor. "
So, we are waiting for the rest of the blood work results to come back, which will be either today or tomorrow, at the latest. She has a rash consisting of symmetrical "bulls-eyes" all over her chest legs & arms; her hands, wrists, ankles & feet are swollen like sausages & she was running a low-grade fever, which is gone this morn...for the time-being. Saturday, her knees were also red, hot & swollen. Until they have the blood work, all we can do is give her Benadryl & Tylenol/ Motrin....and worry! Our doc called me last night, at 8pm & he said that he will call me as soon as he has the blood work results. He said the fact that she is eating OK & in good spirits is a good sign.
So, we can use all the prayers we can get at this point!
TIA!!

Oh wow! I am so sorry! I am praying for DD.
Do they think it could possibly be lyme disease?
No, Lyme Disease was not one of the candidates.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!! I really appreciate them!
