Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Do you use your boppy?

I registered and received a boppy. However, have only used it like twice. I hated it when BFing and my DD doesn't like to lay on it during  timmy time. I am thinking of selling it on craiglist but wanted to make sure there wasn't another use of some kind for when my DD gets older?

TIA

  • I still use mine every time I nurse.

  • I use mine every day to nurse, and sometimes to help prop DS up when he's sitting.  He can't really stay up by himself for long without toppling over.

Me too. I love it, and dread when I have to nurse without it! I don't know how people do it! lol!

  • Not for either kid. My LC wanted me to learn hou to BF without any aid.
  • i use it everytime i nurse Liam. i HATE having to try to nurse him without it (i.e. when out and about). when i visit my parents, i make my mom borrow one from my cousin. i just can't nurse without it.
  • I always use some sort of pillow.  I use a brest friend pillow in the house and keep the boppy in my car.  It's also good for putting around the baby when he's learning to sit up.

  • Aside from nursing, I used it to keep DS in place if I needed to run to the kitchen, or what have you.  I could have him in my sight the entire time.  This was before he was able to roll.

Also, I would prop the boppy on me if I wanted to lay back and rest while watching TV, and I could place DS on it in a way where he could sleep but I didn't have to hold him w/ my arms.  That was my favorite use- having him nap on me w/o breaking my arms. ;)

Then, once he was able to start sitting, I would use it to help support him and/or be a cushion if he fell over.

I probably used it until he was 7 or so months!

  • I just used mine to prop DD up behind her piano in case she fell backward.

  • I think the boppy is the best pillow for laying on the floor with MJ, I love the cut out, haha!  I use it when I breastfeed her at night, only because she normally falls asleep and then she's comfortable until she's in a deep enough sleep where I feel comfortable moving her (ha!)
  • I still use it- I lay DD on it when she feeds herself a bottle and I use it when I give DD her bedtime bottle in the rocking chair.

  • I still use it when I nurse DD in the glider in her nursery.  It's awkward to feed her in that chair without it.

  • I barely used it to breastfeed at all.  At daycare, they used it for DS sometimes for naps. They claimed it made him almost feel as though he was being snuggled in someone's arms.
