Is it too late for sleep training (ferber)? DS is 9 months old. He wakes, sits himself up or stands up in the crib and cries until I get him. If he's doing this, would he ever put himself back down to sleep? Any success stories this late in the game?
Re: Is it too late for sleep training??
Do it! It works! We started a few weeks ago. I read both Ferber and HSHHC and we decided to do a combo of the two. Ferber's method of gradual CIO didnt work well for us. We CIO, but go by his cries. If he super worked up, screaming I would not let him go past a couple minutes, but would let him cry up to 10 and fuss/cry up to 15. The first night was the worst, but after a week life was so much better. We did it for naps and bedtime. We were planning on doing it for night wakings, but after a week he started STTN!
