I had a friend in high school that was a total kleptomaniac.  She even walked out of a store with a coffee maker once.  I always thought she was crazy.

I once accidently stole a tank top.  I had it over my arm while browsing, then I took my jacket off and put it over the tank top.  I only realized I had the tank top when I went to put it on about an hour later!

I went back to the store and paid for the tank top.  I wasn't about to screw up my karma for an 7$ tank top.

No, I haven't, but when my niece was 2 she used to stick stuff in the stroller without my sister realizing it.  She was a huge klepto!

I use to steal ALL the time, then I finally got caught and arrested and had to pay a $475 fine.  It sucked, and I got grounded.

Never.  I'm like you, I've gone back to pay for things that cost $1 before.  I just wouldn't feel right about it if I didn't.

A few times in HS. I hung out with the wrong people and had a rebellious stage. Idk what I was thinking. I would never ever do that now.

I did when I was in middle school/high school.  Mostly just those milky gel pens that were en vogue for a while, because they were so expensive but you were cool if you had them.

I used to steal clothes all the time when I was in high school from big department stores!   I never got caught but came to my senses and just stopped.
