You will never believe what happened to me today..

So, My DH and I are going to the navy ball and i was originally going to wear my sisters dress from my wedding.  Well, my mom sent it and it looks like crap on me.  So then I borrowed a dress from a friend that looked even worse. i hate spending money on things like that that get worn once.  So anyways, yesterday I went looking for a clearance dress and I couldn"t find anything at dillards, macy's, penny's, burlington, davids bridal..etc.  I was in the dumps.  So today we went to a couple special occasions stores and all the dresses were so expensive.  Even the clearance ones.  I'm talking like 250 to 400 dollars.  The last place we went to the owner asked me what price range.  I told her 100 bucks (I even raised my price range) and she looked at me like i was shiit outta luck.  So we were just talkin and she was pulling dresses she had around that price.  Well she only had a few in my size and apparently I looked defeated and she started pulling really nice new expensive ones and everytime I asked her the price she would say we'll work on it. The last dress I tried on I LOVED!  I asked her the price and she said again "we'll work on it"  We were about to leave and she finally said 100 dollars.  I knew that dress was not 100 dollars.  She was being very nice!  I told her I would think about it and we went out in the parking lot and my DH said Carrie, we've been everywhere go back and buy the dress you like and I want you to feel good about yourself.  So i went back in as they were closing and I said I wanted the dress.  Another lady was ringing it up and she charged me 100 even and then there was a remaing balance of 275.   I looked at the owner as she started filling out a check and I told her no, I can't let you do that and she looked very sad.  She then told me I want you to look nice and feel good you deserve it let me do this.  I just looked at her and she said listen, i'm probably going out of buisness in a few months and mark them all down I want to do this.  So I let her.  I have never let anyone buy me anything like that before.  I was so shocked at how nice she was being to me and how generous. She was such a good person!  I still can not believe it.

I am sure you are going to look great in the dress. I love hearing stories like this since it doesn't seem to happen as much as it used to. That was very generous of her. Maybe you can give her a pic of you in the dress to let her know what a great time you had.
