Does anyone else feel like they have carpl tunnel?

It's usually at night when i wake up to go pee. My hands for some reason are all cramped up and look like "the claw". Anyone else get this or is it just me? never had Carpl Tunnel before so Im not sure if this is what it could be.

Maybe I am just sleeping in a crazy position? I don't usually wake up in a weird position...hmmmm

We just moved into a new house and I've developed carpel tunnel from all the painting/moving/cleaning.  I've had numbness in my fingertips for a couple weeks now and both my hands will swell and I'll wake up in the middle of the night with one of them throbbing.  My doctor said I can get wrist support bands at the pharmacy if I'm that bothered by it, but its nothing to worry about.  More of a pain then a concern unless it gets a lot worse.  It doesnt' sound like they'll go back to normal until after the baby arrives.  When I started complaining about it my mom mentioned she gets it every now and then too.  I never knew!

Pregnancy carpel tunnel is actually common.  I've had it prepregnancy so once it started to bother me again, I just went to Target a picked up a brace for about 12.99.  I wore it for about 2 days and that seemed to do the trick.  I keep it in my glove box just in case I need to wear it again.

It's true that it common to develop in pregancy.  I had it with my first baby and it got bad in the late 3rd tri but oddly enough, with in an hour of delivering it went away 100%.  But the pain was bad enough that it kept me awake at night.  Good luck and maybe try the brace to see if it will help.

There is such a thing as pregnancy carple tunnel.  For me it showed up at about 26 weeks and remained till delivery.  It was EXCRUCIATING and affected me most in bed (like trying to pull the covers up became impossible).

Thanks ladies! I have been using a heating pad but I will definantly get abrace as well
