Hi all,
I am so happy. Last night DH in his random excitement called the landlord of the apt we used to live in (before buying our home). He told him about our impending arrival and that we are having a boy.
He proceeded to let DH know that his wife (who I also knew but have not spoken to in a while) has a crib and changing table in the basement that she was looking to get rid of to make room for other things. It was offered to us. I am so happy (hopefully this is true once he talks to his wife - LOL).
I have not seen the crib yet, but she and I share a similar taste anyway. Her youngest child is around 4 or 5 yrs old so the crib is not (very) old. If it's the wrong color I have already thought about just sanding and staining it the color of my desire - I AM SO HAPPY. This saves me a ton of money.
Is anybody else getting a donated crib or changing table.
Re: Donated furniture...
Yep, I am all about saving money. I will surely check for recalls and defects as well of course. DH and I have no issues with hand me downs so long as they are in good condition. Also - It has to be offered to me. I will not ask people for anything,... LOL
