Babies: 3 - 6 Months

De-swaddling night #3

Was a success!  We're definitely still not back to where we used to be, but it's a huge difference from the first night and even last night.

It took him another night of 1.5 hours to fall asleep.  After that though, he gave me a 5.5 hour stretch followed by another 5 hour stretch.

Wonderful!  I am so proud of him! :)

    Why you up so early?

I'm always up this early whether due to DH's alarm for work or because of DS waking up.  Today, it's because DS woke-up.  He has an earlier bedtime now.  He goes to bed at 7pm.

  • Awesome!!!  This makes me feel much better about starting the process this week!  Yes

Best of luck...I am really surprised with the fast progress.  I hope it continues.

  • I'm glad to hear it's improving!

  • Congrats! Again, you're giving me some hope. I tried just the Woombie last night for bed time and he fall sleep initially with no problem but always wakes up 45 min later (which seems to be his sleep cycle b/c that's how long his naps are during the day) and we usually go in and just give him his paci back and he falls back asleep. But, since he was in the Woombie it provided more movement then he was used to and after an hour of crying and giving him his paci too many times to count I put him in his miracle blanket and then the Woombie and he finally fell asleep. I will continue to put off the inevitable...
  • Happy month day Ryan! Big Smile
  • It just keeps getting better! We were on night #5 of de-swaddling, and she went to sleep w/o waking at all for 8 hours straight last night, it was awesome!!
