Re: march moms. come in??

  • I'm not a March mom, but I think you get to have a registry and a shower, considering you probably don't own any boy stuff!  Each baby is special.  I think, if i were in your shoes, that I might not register for things I already have that are gender-neutral and in good shape, but boy clothes accessories, bedding and stuff is fine for a registry.  Congrats on your 2nd!

  • You could do a wish list. I wouldn't do a shower unless someone offers to throw one for you.?
  • Hi, congrats on your baby boy! You should register, even if you're not having a shower. I am sure people will want to get stuff for you, and you'll get the completion coupon, so you can buy whatever you still need at a discount. Luck you - I am having another boy so I already really have everything I need.

  • I have a girl and am having a boy this time.  I'm not planning on doing a registry.  Other than clothes and some little things, I don't need anything.  Most of our stuff is gender-neutral.
  • Unless your first daughter is like 10, I think doing a registry for another child is tacky. ?I'm not registering for #2, obviously.

NPR - I want to pinch your DD's cheeks! Too cute!

  • I am a March mommy with my 2nd. I have a son, and this time we didn't find out. I plan on having a baby shower if I have a girl! If I have another boy, I will probably just have my family over for a meet and greet and gifts optional. I don't really need anything else if I have a boy! I say since your having the opposite sex..go for it and have a shower! Do a registry!
  • I'm not planning to register and I don't expect a shower...

  • I don't think it's tacky. I imagine some people will want to get you a gift, so having suggestions for them isn't tacky in my opinion.

  • We are doing a registry and my family and friends have already told us we are having a shower. However, dd is 7. If she was under 5 I think I would register for a few things but not expect a shower.

This, except I just did find out my 2nd is a girl.  And, of course, I won't ask anyone to do a shower, but I've had a family friend and my sister already tell me they want to do one for girly stuff.  I'll register for just a few things.  Nothing like the first time.

  • I don't think it's tacky either. This is my second pregnancy which came as a surprise. My DD is 3yrs old and I have passed clothes and furniture down to family and friends. It really sucks because I gave her crib away in the beginning of July then 3 weeks later found out I was prego again. My family is excited and eager to throw a shower, I plan on registering but we plan on buying big ticket items our selves.
