I know it's to early to do the Ferber method, but I wanted to know if it gets better? She has no problems sleeping threw the night (7-9 hours), it's getting her to sleep...she wakes up 45 min after we put her in her crib and needs rocked/cuddled/feeding then put in her swing to put her to sleep the rest of the way then I sneak her to her crib. This (rocking/cuddling/feeding) sometimes takes hours!
Did the Ferber method work for you? How long did it take to work? Any other methods you would like to suggest for later and at what point should we start them?
THank you in advance!!!
Re: Going to sleep at night, does it get better??
I haven't tried Ferber, but at about 3 months, DS started to fight going to sleep. He would cry, arch his back and basically do whatever he could to keep from going to sleep. We started an early bedtime routine and he does SO much better now.
Our bedtime looks like this: 6:45 - Bath, lotion, PJ's. 7:00 - Nurse 7:15 - Rock/Snuggle for a couple minutes then lay him in his crib drowsy. He is out by 7:30, usually even earlier than that.
