If you had the choice to arrange your own schedule for about 28-30 hours per week, how would you do it? It has to stay within Monday through Friday 6am-6pm.

I can't decide if it would be better to spend half day every day with DD, or if it would be better to have more full days with her.

How about Monday, Wednesday, Friday so that you have every other day off?

Monday to Friday afternoon plus Wednesday afternoon.

I am working 30 hours a week and split my time like this:

M/W/F in the office from 7 AM to 4 PM

Tues/Thurs work at home for 3 hours

I like only going to the office three times a week and not having to leave him 2 days in a row. The weeks go by really fast this way.

I would love the long weekends...Mondays always suck at work...and I always want Fridays off too...so I would work Tues-Thurs...that would be perfect!

I like Tuesday - Thursday all day.  3 days of daycare instead of 5 and long weekends.  Even if you are not doing the daycare thing, I think it would be more practical to either be home or at work...not both every day.  I wish I had an offer like that!!

what is your child care situation? That would be a HUGE factor for me.

My daycare center will do partial weeks- but not partial days... so for me, it's worth it to work full days - because I'd pay for a full day even if i only worked 1/2 of that day.

I also think it's better for a child to be in daycare a few days in a row- not every other day, etc... routine is important for little kids- they  need to know what to expect- and a crazy daycare schedule can make things crazy.

I'd do Tue/Wed/Thurs full days of work- that way your weekend is always 4 days long.

This is so my dream schedule...and it's not going to happen for the forseeable future. ::tears::
