and you wanted to know would you pay $100 to an independent place to find out? We had ours yesterday, and they did offer us to come back next week for a quick, free peak and they would try and see if they could find out then so I still have one more shot but for some reason I am not optimistic about it. The 3d place near us will do a 2d "gender check" for $99, that is the cheapest I can find within a 2 hour drive. I still need to call them and ask what happens if they can't tell, I don't want to end up paying $99 for them to just tell me the legs are still crossed, but assuming they won't charge if they can't find out would you pay the $$?

I'd probably wait til next week....you've waited this long right?? But if you don't mind spending the extra $$ and can't wait another day ...go for it!

sorry, I should have been more clear. I am definitely going to wait until after next week and have them try for free, but if they still can't see....

We did! We went to the OB and they looked for all of 2 minutes and said they couldn't find it and that they would try again in a month. I was devastated. We went right to the place that does 3D/4D ultrasounds and they were able to tell us in a matter of minutes! Totally worth the $100.

I paid to find out the gender.  I was 19 weeks at my big US and they couldn't tell...they said they would try again in a few weeks...well I am now 26 weeks and no mention of it...I tried to bring it up and they said I didn't need another one...so glad I opt'd at 20 weeks to go for the gender scan!

Wait until next week. Don't spend $100....its not worth it to me.

I found out the sex on Wednesday, and I have to say it was an adjustment. So happy we're having little girlie girl, but it was emotional to find out. I was crying all day. I felt like my hubby was let down but he really wasn't.

So take your time...ignorance is bliss! Next week is not so far away!

I paid the $99 and they did tell me that I could go back until she cooperated (but she showed off her butt and I don't regret paying the extra cash

I would pay for the extra one. I told DH if little one didn't cooperate that we were going. Before he went into the U/S room he asked her to please save daddy some money :-) LOL

i would prbly pay after the second trip to the dr. if they still cant tell you then go ahead and call the 3d place and get all your questions answered before you pay. i would not want to wait and would end up paying.

We did go and do a 3-D ultrasound to find the sex.  But mine was $65.  We called around and found a place that was having a special...But they also suggested checking online for coupons.
