What are your birth control plans for post-delivery?
I maintain that this is the only LO we want. However..I am 22. So no doctor is going to tie my tubes. ![]()
I got pregnant while on NuvaRing, with perfect usage, so not thrilled about going back on hormonal bc that obviously does not work...lol
What will you be doing to stay childless post-pregnancy?
Re: BC after L&D?
If you take the mini pill which is progesterone only.
I don't know I thought I wanted implannon which is an implant in your arm that you can still breastfeed with but it lasts for a long time and DH is worried we will want another before than, but I hate BCPs
Not sure. We want a large family, but I'm not quite into the Irish twins thing. I got pg immediately after stopping my BC, but I don't really want to go back onto them while breastfeeding, and while I know there's a lower chance of getting pg while BF, I know it happens. I have a coworker who was on BC and breastfeeding and got pg with one of her boys.
On a random note, it is really hard to type when your pinkie is asleep!
No BC, we are going to TTC #2 after we get the OK to have sex again. We figure it took 3 years for the first, so take advantage of any left over fertility in my body.
DH or I (if C-Section) will get snipped after #2.
You might be surprised and get KU really fast! My sister had a hard time having her 2 kids and than with her 3rd she wasn't using anything still BF and figured yeah right me get pregnant and she got her BFP when her 2nd was 9 months!
I hope so!!
wow! here's to wishful thinking lol
Yeah it was crazy! My sister had never even had a period since her 2nd so she didn't find out till she was 12 weeks and normally unless she does progesterone she miscarries but he was past that stage! Even her DR was baffled and said the only thing she could think of was that her hormones were still high from her last pregnancy and breastfeeding. My little nephew was just meant to be!
I've been thinking about this one a lot. I could live with not having to change it for 3 years...and maybe by then they'd realize I really don't want more kiddos. :P
Isn't Mirena 5 years?
Excuse my typo. Yes, it's 5 years. That was what I meant to put. :P
I also know there is one that lasts 10 years.. but something about the copper and what not frightened me...
