mobile or no mobile?

will you hang a mobile over the crib?  i don't know if i want to, but if it's really stimulating for the baby, i should.  anyone have a modern looking one?

im not going to have one of any sort but i did see some modern/tasteful ceiling mobiles (not crib, they hang over the crib) on etsy.com.. GL

I have a handmade one above our crib (see pic below). I got it from a lady who makes them and sells them on Etsy. They aren't listed on her Etsy page, but she makes them to order and I know that a couple other bumpies have purchased mobiles from her too and love them!

We didn't get a mobile for DS.  You have to take it down once they can sit/stand up anyways.  We did however get a crib toy that clips onto the side of the crib and plays music.

Like this one but our was rainforest.  DS absolutly loved it and he could turn it on himself after a while and he used it every night until we took him out of the crib and into a big bed.  We plan on using it for this baby as well since DS was so mesmerized by it.  He would sit and watch it for hours.

I'm not going to. I've been reading a book on getting baby to sleep through the night and it said that you shouldn't have anything stimulating in the crib so that baby knows (eventually) that the crib is for sleeping.
