Ok so my coworkers tell me everyday that my boobs are getting bigger. I realize this and you don't have to keep telling me, especially in front of others I don't know well!!!! What do people do or say that bugs you?
It bugs me when people tell me how much my life is going to change, or that it will never be the same. Well of course! Honestly? Do you think that I don't realize this? And by phrasing it that way, it makes it sound like a bad thing. Yes my life will change completely, but for the better. I realize it isn't going to be easy, but it will be worth it.
I have a cousin who NEVER thinks before she speaks. She asked me if I was worried about getting 'fat' again. A. I'm skinnier than you, ***! and B. Yes, I gained 55lbs, but I lost it in 7 months without trying at all. I ate whatever I wanted and never worked out so, NO I am in fact not worried about getting 'fat' again.
Woah, apparently I'm still a little pissed about it! Thanks for letting me get that out!
Hahaha! I was stopped in the hallway at school today by a woman who was talking to me about breast feeding... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY! aaahhhh!! Asking if was going to do it, telling me how hard it is... Geez, I still have to learn about diapers, I am not ready for breast feeding conversations yet!!!
"Just wait, you won't be getting a decent night's sleep for the next 18 years!"
First of all, my skin is incredibly fair to begin with, and I tend to get circles under my eyes very easily, even if I'm not that tired. Secondly, people need to start thinking of this as warning coloration and try not to piss me off when these dark circles are visible.
The same convo applies when people ask how I'm feeling. When I say "great", I get another "just wait" response. WTF?
"Cool as Hell like e-mail, but still timeless like a letter."

Oh yes, this too!!! I was in a wedding over the weekend and I got cornered by one of the bride's aunts and given explicit instructions on breastfeeding and childbirth.
O.M.G. I had never even seen this woman before in my life...the bride and her brother and SIL were cracking up. So.not.funny.

I hate the ... Your so small, are you sure your eatting enough, gaining enough weight, etc? Or... the really, your as far along as you say you are?
Yes, I am gaining enough weight, I'm eatting enough staying hydrated, yes I'm sure I'm as far along as I say, actually my baby is 3 days ahead of schedule, thank you very much!!

Yes, the "just wait" comments are annoying!
I so agree with the "just wait" comments. "Sleep as much as you can now"...blah blah blah! DH even complains about these comments. He gets them at work all the time. He knows he won't get any sleep either, but they never say how worth it, it is!
Calling me "mama," "little mama," or "mommy." I know they're trying to be cute but I just find it kind of condescending and weird. At our 17 week u/s the tech referred to me solely as "mom." I mean, my name is RIGHT THERE on the screen, it's not like you even have to remember it. Ugh.
Also people like to tell me out of the blue how miserable I'm going to be in a few months. And most of them are men. It makes me want to land a swift ball-kick and ask if that's what they meant by "miserable."
Re: What do people do that bugs you?
My friend just wrote me an email today that she is tired of people asking...
How ya feeling mama?
I have to agree with her...
Anything my oldest sister says regarding pregnancy.
So far I've been told my son WILL be born two weeks late.
I've been told what to eat, what not to eat and how I am going to feel.
I want to punch her on an almost daily basis. Last time i checked, I wasn't a total idiot.

"Well, I guess."
