3D u/s to find out the sex? & questions: Worth the $?

A few questions for you:

With my birthday in Nov. and Christmas in December, I'm thinkg about asking for someone to help us out with paying for a 3d u/s. 

1.)  When is the best time to get one?

2.) Can I get one around 18 weeks or so to know the sex a few weeks before I'd find out at the dr's office?

3.) Did you like getting yours? Is it worth the $?

    1- The best time to get one for face shots is anywhere from 28-32 weeks. I got mine at 31 weeks and another at 33 weeks because he didn't cooperate the first time. 

    2- I also got one at 19 weeks when my stupid u/s tech was too lazy to try to find out the sex for us at my big u/s. His face wasn't very clear and still very bony at the time, but I LOVED getting the u/s.

    3- I LOVED it :) Well worth the money. I really liked not going to an ultrasound where I had to stare at his kidneys or heart for a half an hour. It was so nice to just sit and be googly-eyed  over his cute little movements and just watch him be his precious self. No amount of money would ever be too much for that. :)

    I am thinking about getting one too. The site for the place around here told me when the best time to go was based on my due date.  According to that site the month of October was best - which puts me between 28 and 32 weeks.  I don't think you'll see as much as you would normally if you go at 18 weeks.

    Is their a place near you that will do regular ultrasounds to determine gender? I have an appointment on 10/31 (i'll be 15w 6d) to find out the gender. It's $25 and they have a 99% accurracy rate. Everyone I've known that has gone there has gotten a correct gender guess.

    thats awesome, i wish there was a place near me that would do that! $25 bucks is a great deal!
