Day 3 bloodwork

I just had my day 3 bloodwork done.  I had to fast for 12 hours and then they took 8 viles of blood.  I didn't expect that much....is that normal?

It would have been done sooner but for different reasons it never was. Now I sit and anxiously await the results; which will hopefully be normal.

    I had mine done so long ago I can't remember how many vials they took. GL to you!

    Hi, Birdie.

    The number of vials sounds right to me. I never had any fasting bloodwork done, though.

    I'm praying you get good results!

    If you were fasting maybe they were throwing in a cholesteral/blood sugar panel just to check your overall health.

    Can't hurt I suppose...

    That's what I assumed the fasting was for (blood sugar/cholesterol) I just didn't expect that many vial. Indifferent   Good thing they had OJ.

    Hi!  Yes, they took many vials when I did it--I ended up getting them in both arms since the first arm went kaput after 6 vials.

    Oh. I will probably be getting my CD3 bloodwork done at the end of this month.  Fasting while giving that much blood - I will definitely be out for the day.  I try donating blood all the time and I usually end up so light headed and weak - and that is with food and lots to drink!

    My very first CD3 testing was like that.  But RE did order cholesterol panel and other stuff they don't do every cycle.

    I'll have 3 day testing next week.   Ugh...I hope they leave some blood for me!  Geez!  Vampires in white coats!

    I had double the viles.  No fasting though.  I was poked in both arms since my arm gave out right towards the end.

    Indifferent  I probably would have passed out if I had 16 viles.
