Pregnant after a Loss

Really, BH?...

Is that the best you got?

I expected much worse of BH.  Started last night, had 2...maybe 3 of them while watching TV.  They were so slight that the only reason I realized what it was, was from my entire abdomen tightening up.  DH was shocked, I guess it was a major trauma with his ex wife.  I told him if real ctx are even 20 times stronger, my med-free birth I'm so hoping for is definitely possible!

YAY!  I love finding out something isn't as bad as you thought it would be...and YAY for BH!  Means I'm getting closer!

How bad are your BH?  Do they get worse?

  • Oh man, I'm jealous. I already get several per day. It's not painful but it kind of freaks me out.

  • That's what my BH were like, not painful at all, just a tightening.  They happened for me from wk 34-40 all day.  They never got worse, just more and less often.  Real labour contractions are way worse, add in pressure and back pain and all kinds of fun.  Good luck.
  • I'm ready for the labor contractions.  I had 4 days of them during my m/c with no pain meds.  The last day they were full on 2nd phase style contractions coming every 3-5 minutes (or so my OB says). She's sure I will have no problem with med free as long as there are no complications.  I just really expected more from BH!  Glad its nothing big!

  • I've had (what I thought were) a few BH contractions here and there, but I've never found them to be painful... and honestly didn't expect them to be.  I never heard anyone say they were that bad before so I'm glad I didn't hear that before I experienced it for myself! Smile
  • Yeah.  I was all geared up for something horrible.  DH said they literally stopped his ex in her tracks.  Drama queen.
