I was given Tamiflu and was told to drink tons of fluid and stay in bed.  My fever wouldn't break for 3 days, though, and i was really, really sick.

It's too late for Tamiflu for me.  I called the doctor with the onset of my symptoms and told her that I had just (unknowingly) spent an entire day with someone who ended up having the flu.  She told me to rest and drink lots of fluids.  Now here it is three days later and I'm still running a fever and feel horrible.  This really sucks!

My doctor thought I had strep even though the test came back negative and I had flu like symptoms.  He put me on Amoxacillin (sp?) then after a few days when I couldn't sleep because I was coughing so bad so he gave me some type of syrup that helped a lot.  My OB gave me a list of things she approved and it was just Tylonol and Sudafed.  I was even limited on the kinds of cough drops I could take, just plain halls or luden's!  Feel better!
