2nd Trimester

achey hips and cramps

I wanted to know if anyone has or had this. I have the worst hip pains through out the day. Not to mention my cramps feel like AF is coming anyday. My OB said cramping, and achey hips are normal. How do you deal?

Re: achey hips and cramps

  • Make sure you're sleeping with something between your knees for your hips. I've also made sure to walk at least 30 minutes a day (break it up if you need to) and take some time to do some stretches/light yoga while sitting down. A heating pad on your hips can help too - just keep off the belly and only use medium heat. HTH!

  • my hips are achey too, just started, i hear it's normal though. Not sure if exercise has anything to do with it, i workout with a trainer and my hips still hurt, it's just one of those pregnancy things.
  • Yep, I had both pretty bad earlier this week (feeling better now).  For me, laying on my tummy, and not on the hips, helped a lot (but I also have no bump).  And tylenol.  But honestly, I really just had to wait for them to go away.  The first part of this week was pretty terrible for me.
