I was curious how much it would cost if we had to purchase everything ourselves.  I have 48 items on my registry.

Actually, it does NOT include our furniture.  We'll be registering for the Graco Lauren crib ($160) and a Glider ($200).  We won't be buying a changing table.  It does, however, include everything else like stroller, swing, high chair, etc.

Yeah, I didn't think it was bad at all.  I was thinking it would end up closer to $5,000 when I pulled my calculator out.  We'll be having a pretty small shower, so I wanted to know what to anticipate.

Considering I spent about $2,000 on room upgrades and furniture (crib, dresser, ottoman, rocker, conversion kit to full size bed & toddler rails), that's not bad. I'm sure mine would be more as I have about 80 items on the list, but we have 63 people RSVP'd yes to the shower this weekend.
