Pregnant after a Loss

Anyone else have an overprotective DH?

DH is being ridiculous.  He is talking about me quitting work during flu season (I'm a nurse and have contact with many H1N1 patients).  This seems a bit extreme to me!  He doesn't want to regret choosing my income over my health (and the baby's).

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Re: Anyone else have an overprotective DH?

  • Honestly, I think you're fine to keep working. I think that the flu, any kind, is getting alot more hype than necessary this year. If you work as a nurse, does it make any sense that you are kinda building up an immunity to it by being around it in small doses? I honestly have no idea, I'm just wondering.

I think if you get it, well, you're young, healthy etc. You'll fight it just like everyone else who gets it does, and then you'll have your immunity to it.

It's nice that YH is over protective though! Mine is on certain things, but on others, it's like I'm not even pg!

  • We use pretty strict precautions to not be exposed.  The scary part is that it is getting the young, healthy people really sick.

  • My DH is. He won't let me carry anything that weighs more then a gallon of milk, he won't let me paint or be at home when he paints, and he is a food nazi. He comments on everything I eat or don't eat.
