if you are a little bit on the pleasantly plump side? i found it the first day i got the doppler, about a week and a half ago, but i have tried a few times since then and can't seem to find it. i know that it takes some people a longer time to be able to hear it consistently, just curious if my extra padding for the winter had anything to do with it
Re: is it harder to hear the babys hb on the doppler
Well, I have some extra belly chub as well, even my dr.s have had to search a few times. Since I'm further along now, I also have reason's to believe that my ute is stretching more towards my back than my belly. This can also cause it to be a little hard to find the hb sometimes, or if your placenta moves in front of the baby etc. My baby is, and has from the start, sitting very low. Every single appt the dr. comments on how low she is, and he has to move the doppler down a few inches from where he starts to get it.
I don't know what to tell you really, I just know that there are many reasons for having trouble finding it!
