Girl, I was about to go crazy on you....until I read your post.
I'm with you. There is no "pro-abortion" in my book. I am pro-choice. I don't think the government has a right to tell me what to do with my body. That said, I think there are MUCH better options than abortion.
However, if you are going to talk about outlawing abortion you need to first stop teaching abstinence-only sex-ed classes.
I did not read the link, so my answer could be out of context, but I do know the term 'pro-abortion' is used negative spin on someone who is pro-choice. Just like the negative spin on pro-life is anti-choice. If that's not what you are referring to, just ignore.
If being a math nerd is wrong, I don't wanna be right!
Ah, I have read the post, and yes, someone used it as a derogatory term for a pro- choice person. I am pro-choice and don't go around calling pro-lifers 'anti-choice'. Sigh...

I think you pretty much nailed it... Pro choice is not Pro Abortion. Never really heard of "pro-abortion" ...but I'm sure there are some a-hole wack jobs out there, like that lady in that article

Im Pro - people staying out of others business because it in no way affects their "perfect" and "holier than thou" lives. It is disgusting that those people think they have the right to stand on a corner telling me that if i thin abortion should be legal im a baby killer...they are the disgusting ones. And if you ask me if abortion were to be illegal those pro lifers would have more blood and guilt on their hands than the pro choicers...
It's a rightwing extremist scare tactic. Just like a leftwing extremist would say anti-choice.
It's stupid and ridiculous and not worth even bringing up.
Double thumbs up. I immediately write off the opinion of anyone who uses the term as a wackadoodle. They are clearly not interested in having a civil debate on the issue. I respect the opinion of pro-lifers because I understand a lot of their points and can see validity in some of their arguments. I being pro-choice, of course, think my position is better (haha!). However, I respect them enough to refer to them as pro-life and not anti-choice because that is what they wish to be called.

absolutely ... when I start seeing that kind of language ... I completely dismiss them and move on ... yes "wackadoodle" or "cookoo crazy" ... how do you have a civil and intelligent discussion ... yeah ... I'm like, "Ooookay" and I excuse myself from the discussion ...
Ditto to everyone above. I used to work for a nonprofit that provided comprehensive sexual education, had a post-abortion support group, and an assistance fund for individuals who couldn't pay for their abortions. I heard that term A LOT. It is no different than calling someone a baby killer. I think everyone would be happy if abortions didn't have to happen at all, but since we don't allow many schools to teach kids about protecting themselves and many parents tell them just to never do it we are stuck where we are. Pro choice does NOT equal pro abortion - in fact, I have met many people who are pro choice and said they personally would never get an abortion but they think others should have that choice for themselves.

Re: Could someone please explain Pro Abortion to me??
This... and No Comment.

That is all.
Maybe it is. But I'm honestly curious as to what people are thinking when they say this. I'm sorry if I offended you or anyone, not my intention.
No, I can't explain it, because it doesn't exist.

This ...
Gotcha.
I had just never heard someone say this before. Maybe I live under a rock. If so, I like my rock.
