My CWers said their daycares won't allow the kids to wear Halloween costumes to school. I checked with mine, and they're calling it a "Fall Festival" and allowing the kids to "dress up". What's your daycare doing?

Re: Does your DC allow Halloween costumes?
The daycare Nate used to go to did allow costumes. They were really laid back about holidays and I think they used Christmas, Easter and Halloween openly there. Oh, the horror of calling a holiday what it is!

Our center makes a day of it! They all wear their costumes, every class has a Halloween party that parents are invited too, they hand out candy, and they have a pumpkin patch out back where each kid gets to pick out a pumpkin. They also have a costume parade!
They also do similar things for all the other holidays. I think it's great!
We are supposed to send them in their regular clothes though and they only wear their costumes for the party and parade.
Nope. I have DD in a Christian daycare and they do not allow any sort of Halloween outfits, costumes or decorations.
They are having some sort of fall festival though, although DD is too young to know what's going on anyhow.
