Babies: 0 - 3 Months

What to Expect the First Year

When they say "The Second Month" in What to Expect the First Year, do they mean the month the child turns two months (ie: weeks 4-8) or really the month before the child turns three months (ie: weeks 8-12)?  I know the book explained it somehwere, but now I can't find it.  TIA

  • Good question.  I never thought about it.

I would assume "what to expect the first month" means the first month they are alive...so up to when they hit one month old (first four weeks).  "the second month" means the second month...second four weeks, etc.
