3rd Trimester

Dh is being a prick.

For a little over a week he's been a complete d!ck to me!  It's like I can't do anything right no matter what and he's hurt my feelings ALOT.

I had a really bad day today at work and as soon as he got home he was yelling.  He says he wasn't yelling *AT* me, just yelling in general.  Yeah, because their is a difference.

It's really starting to get to me.  We've argued more in this past week than the past 9 months.  It can't be healthy for me.

*sigh*

I dont' know if he is portraying his nerves, etc innapropriately or what.  It's getting old, quick.

Ha.  He thinks crying is weak and it just makes him more angry.

It's OK for babies to cry, but not adults.

I wasn't done typing everything and it posted.

I'm wondering if other's DH got pissy towards the end because they suck at expressing emotions.

I'm sorry! Mine responds really well to tears! Sometimes I'll just be a biotch right back at him.

  • Mine had his bad moments last week...it turns out it was due to nerves, emotions, and well mine is on night shift right now and he is really tired so it came out in him being an ass.  I just talked to him about it and he told me how he was feeling and he has been so much better since.
  • Just kick him in the groin. Sounds like he needs it.

OK - I don't advocate violence but it is fun to think about when they are being a total ass hat - yes?

Have you guys done anything together non-baby related lately? Is he feeling jealous?

Yes, now that you posted the rest of the story, it makes way more sense, lol.

Bet he'd feel differently after a swift kick in the nuts!

Sounds like he's having some coping issues. Is this your first? If so, he may be getting a little jealous of LO.

Yeah the last 3 weekends we've gone out with our V-dubb friends. I sat at a car show for 9+ hours with him, that asa n hour and a half away!  I didn't complain once, even though I peed every 30 mins and it was freezing.

We've gone to the movies and stuff too.  He is really really bad at everything to do with emotions.  It's just really crappy right now because it's pushing me away, and thats the last thing I want/need right now.

I'm sorry, my husband is TERRIBLE with emotions too...it especially sucks b/c I am a very sensitive, emotional person, so you can imagine how well we've gotten along lately ;) He's also such a baby sometimes...it will pass, but know that you're not in it alone!  Hang in there!!  I forgot to check if you are having a boy or girl, but I would guess if it is  a girl, then that will be very good medicine for him!  It will soften him up!!!  I'm secretly hoping for the same this time and for the same reasons!  ;)

  • On the rare occasion my DH is being pissy, I leave. I run an errand, go shopping, visit someone, go watch tv in another room. If I didn't, it'd get ugly, I have a relatively bad temper even when I'm not hormonal. Talk to your husband, maybe you guys can talk about what's bothering him, or at least you can tell him that his behavior is unacceptable and it hurts and stresses you-and stress is also bad for the baby.
