IHO MelissaABs post: what not to say to a pregnant woman

I had one of those days too, and it took me over the edge. I have been hearing these comments from all different people and for the last few weeks...feel free to add yours too

1-Are you sure your due date is right??

2-Are you sure it's only one??

3-You look awful big for 19 weeks!

Normally I just laugh it off. Today, I'm over it.

    Oh geez, what the heck? Why don't people just keep their mouths shut, especially when they know that's a sensitive subject for all pregnant women???  Ugh!

    If one more person tells me to "just wait" about how bad things will get I am going to hit them. Yes I know I will get more uncomfortable but when you ask me how I am and I answer with I'm tired and uncomfortable I'm not looking for you to tell me it will get worse. If you don't really care how I feel then don't ask!

    And if one more person tells me I'm SO tiny I'm going to lose it.  Yes I really am 29 plus weeks and yes I know I'm not that big. UGH!!!!!!!!!

    I'm with Mrs.Diss on the "just wait" comments. Seriously, shut up. I feel how I feel NOW. Don't tell me to "just wait." I also think I'm going to post my due date on my forehead. I will then proceed to scream when someone looks at my due date, then at my belly and responds "you're not going to make it."

    I love how when you get pregnant people feel that they're free to touch you whenever they want and to make crazy comments or have an opinion about how you should do things.   

    "Are you sure it's not twins??"  Yes bozo I am.  We've had ultrasounds plus I've only ever heard one heatbeat. "Well then the twin must be hiding".  Yes I am sure it's hiding in my secret uterus and now all we have to do is find it. 

    I can't believe I still have another 20 weeks of crazy comments. 

    From miscarriages, a diagnosis of a bicornuate uterus, and fibroid removal surgery...It's been quite the journey but it was all well worth it. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

    Bwaaahaaaa. "Secret uterus?" Haaaa haaaa. That's a good one. I've been getting that same dumb comment and I'm not even showing yet! People just want it to be twins and I guess that's their way of keeping hope alive even though I've had 4 u/s and there is definitely only ONE baby. I'm totally going to use the "secret uterus" comment from now on. LOL.
