I know as preemie moms we all TRY not to compare our babies to others..especially full termers..but this has nothing to do with their growth, milestones, etc. Everyone (who doesn't have a preemie) keeps saying that Carter was "really good size" for being 7 weeks early (He was really 33weeks 5 days..so closer to 34...but the NICU considered him 33 weeks). But after seeing many posts on here, he seems like he was small for that age.

So, it got me wondering. If you don't mind..What age gestation was your preemie, and how much did they weigh?

Carter was 33w (5d) and 3lb 10oz.

Ella was 30w 4d and weighed 2lb 5 oz ( and considered very small for her gestational age)

She was 7lb 8.5 oz at the doctors last friday at 13 weeks

ds#1 was 34w 6d and was 5lb 3oz and ds#2 was 34w5d and was 6lb8oz both were considered very big for that gestational age especially when some ft babies are 6 lbs.

Alex was 31w4d and weighed 3lbs 1oz. I guess this was about average size for her gestational age, I didn't really worry with it much. She may have been a bit smaller than what she should have been at that point.

32w3d - he was 4lbs 1/2oz (18") and the NICU told us he was a "great size" for that age.

Stella was 29 weeks & weighed in at 2 lbs. She is now about 2 months adjusted & is 9 lbs. She had IUGR obviously but is doing much better in the weight gain department now.

32w0d - 3 lbs 15 oz.

She is 5 weeks old and is now 5 lbs 2 oz, which apparently is quite small on the preemie weight chart.

The OB had me at 28w6d when I went into labor.. almost 29 weeks.

The NICU adjusted her back to 27 weeks.

She was 2 lbs. 3 oz. when she was born on 8/20.

She's 33 weeks now and 5 lbs. 4 oz.

Reese was born at 34 weeks. She weighed 5lbs 13oz. She was big for her age-the drs think she would have been around 9lbs had she been full term.

My son was born at exactly 32 wks and weighed 3 lbs 3 oz and was 15 inches long. We just went for his 6 month well baby exam and he is now 15 lbs 8 oz and 26 inches long!
