don't be sad ... sometimes people give cat's a people name because either they don't have children or their cat is as important to them as another person ... it's ok ... no one said the name you picked is a cat's name ... she stole a people name and gave it to a cat

Our cats are named Kayla and Jackson. My niece's name (my husband's sister's daughter) is Kayla. I had the cat before I met my husband. Jackson is a super popular name and a great name for a little boy. Some people just give their pets "human" names. It doesn't mean anything negative about your boy name!

LO's name is going to be Sadie which is a common dog name.  I dont care it is also a babies name!!!

Yep, working in a vet clinic I meet a lot 4 legged friends that are named Zoe, Keegan, Sadie, Sandie and Max. My two dogs are Zoe and Winston!

Some people just prefer human names over animal names. Our cats are Jackson and Joey.

Hmmm I once knew a dog named Jake. That is going to be my son's name.

My brother actually named his son Alex after our family dog.  We used to say Dog Alex and Kid Alex.

My cousin named her dog Katie... when I was 11.

DS may have been Sam, if our dog wasn't already.

I named my dog Jezebel because I have always loved that name, but can't give it to a human. I feel like it would be jinxing her to grow up and be a whore.

Its a person name to me, so unless the name you picked is something like 'tiger' I wouldnt worry much about it.

I overheard a lady that I work with had named her dog our LO's middle name.  Its totally not a dog name, I don't really care, yet another reason we are keeping LO's name a secret until she's born.

I had a friend with a dog named Miles. Friend's sister's boyfriend was named Max. Friend's father always called the boyfriend "Miles" and the dog "Max."

I have a dog named Grace... and Grace is definitely not a dog's name. We adopted her when she was two years old so we just left her name as-is. But given the choice, I wouldn't have named her Grace. Regardless, I still think Grace is a beautiful name for a baby girl. I wouldn't worry about it.
