Name help

We're naming our LO Tallulah.  We absolutely LOVE the name.  But, we can't stand the nickname Tally.  Personally just from hearing the name I don't see how you would get Tally from Tallulah but I guess I could understand where you would get it from when you read it.  What I want to know is if you think there would be less of a chance of people calling her Tally if we spelled her name Talullah instead of Tallulah. 

All the other nicknames I think of I love like, Lulu, Lula, Lu. DH wants to call her Lil' L

Lulu is the only nn I have ever heard of with Tallulah

I wouldn't worry about what some people "might" call her. Don't get all caught up in the nn. Spell it the typical way... and call her what you want. It sounds the same no matter the spelling.... so people will end up calling her what they want.

Agreed. Spell it the correct way and call her the nickname you want.

Never would I think to call a Talullah/Tallulah, Tally.  I don't think the spelling matters in regards to that. The only ones I've heard of are Lu or Lulu. Very cute name!

I would have never thought of Tally either as a nn for Tallulah.  I've had a few people mention it though when I told them her name and was like where did you get that from?

Either way you spell it won't affect the nickname...its really what YOU guys start calling her that will affect what her nickname is!!

i don't think you need to change the spelling.   my brother is garrett and no one "ever" calls him gary.  if they try, he simply corrects him and it's never been a problem.
